Maritime Lincoln overflying a submarine. Info supplied by WOFF Jim McQueen states that the sub is the USS Bluegill, an upgraded WW2 sub. Laid down 17Dec1942 launched 8Aug43 completed 11Nov43. It is a converted Gato class Hunter killer, 1525Tons and 2425 submerged.

The Following Photos Were Supplied by Peter Thompson of Yorkshire, England.
Peter states that the pictures of 1Sqn at Tengah Air Base, Singapore were taken by the Tengah Camera Club in 1955 and 1956.
On the 8th of September 1955 the "Flying Nightmare" crashed
into the ocean on a night low level mission.
There were no survivors.

Of interest is the photos of the Lincolns taken at Maralinga. My fathers' notes on the back of the original photo are "Washing radioactive dust from a Lincoln after it has flown through a dust cloud from an atomic bomb explosion.".
